in rome.

today is a quiet day in rome. it is nice to have the rest. kait and i have been craving american breakfast food so, this morning we went in search of a restaurant that serves french toast and american coffee. it seems that everywhere we go the only breakfast available is espresso or cappuccino and pastries. to our great pleasure, we successfully discovered this little, quirky place in the campo di fiore that sold us what we wanted. kait had the french toast and i, pancakes. instead of my normal cappuccino here, i had an americano. it was so good, i ordered two! although the food looked a little 'different' i think we both enjoyed our attempted american breakfast.

since then, we went to the laundry mat and have had a lazy day. i am thankful for this break; rest before the craziness of churches and museums arises once again.
